no... the regular rsx is like 20k out the door if u pay cash... coz my friend bought one for a bit more than 22k...and i think the price has dropped since then... so i think u can get it out the door for 20k to 21k..and the type s, it was 24k when my friend asked, and i think the price has dropped since then too.. so i am thinking around 23k..

i drove the RSX type S, it is not bad. Exspecially the 6 speed, ratio is closed. the worse thing is the supension, which is so soft. not hard enough to make a hard turn

The price for RSX 5-speed auto w/leather trim is $22-23k out-the-door. Type-S is about $1.5k more.
If pay $17k for a Civic Ex, then why not getting a RSX?
RSX = Civic Ex + leather trim + 16" rims + better engine + better interior and exterior finish
