Do u think the LA Lakers will win the 2003-2004 NBA Championship?????
They added Payton and Malone, can they win it all?????
If not who will??????

i dont think they can, main reason because no bench.  Malone is old, cant play all 48 mins again, so cant Shaq, Kobe or Payton, they will be tired and might have foul trouble, and their bench has nobody, has dont think they can.  Maybe Sac, Dal or NJ, remember New Jersey will have Kidd and Mourning

Payton would play a huge role in Lakers...
cuz he's better than Fisher in terms of making layups or dribble the ball under pressure
and he's a go-to guy in Seattle, he can play one on one and play the ball in fast break..
more important.....he's a much better defender than Fisher
Kings and Spurs had a chance to beat Lakers b4 cuz they have a better point guard than lakers have...
but after Payton's arrival.......he can defend Parker for sure and may fight 50-50 against Bibby
and Malone is a solid presence in low post ...much better than horry...
he can't play more than 30 min like b4, so i think Phil Jackson should limit his time so as to keep him active

thats what i mean, who will play when they are on bench????
also, who will shoot the ball, if the game is on the line????

The starters of Lakers have no chemistry under tha plays of Triangle Offense
Payton and Malone want more chances to have ball....... so the Tradtional Triangle Offense wouldn't work unless Phil Jackon has some strageic changes... as he rarely did....

but Payton and Malone would give up some shot to fit the team ga
cuz they really want a championship ma

i just hate the lakers.... especially shaq, he can make points is becoz he's big and always hit ppl with his elbows... i'll go for anything except the lakers...

The plan is that the Lakers will keep at least 2 superstars on the floor at the same them, so they can take turns to rest. Shaq-kobe, Malone-kobe, Shaq-Payton...........etc... They will have 1-2 punch, if not 1-2-3-4 punch, playing throughout the game. Also, they added Horace Grant to backup Shaq. They also have Fisher and Fox, who know the triangle offense well, to come off the bench.
Malone and Payton should fit in very well. All they needs to do is to make whatever shot that Madsen & Horry used to miss.  I dun think ages are the problem, coz Lakers used to have AC Green and Ron Harper to play PF & still won the first championship. Malone & Payton are obviously much better than AC Green and Ron Harper la.
