＊＃！＆＊Window's Virus

My brother told me that that this a virus called "blaster worm"
ur pc will get infected when u online
only Window is vulnerable to this virus
U can get the anti-virus from microsoft.com
I know there are a lot of ppl in the forum know more computer than me
so give guide to the other in the forum la
I am computer idiot anyway, so I can't give anymore information la, sorry :em10:

As its name, Blaster Worm. It's a worm, not a virus.
and a worm is killed by Patch, not anti-virus.

my pc just got a problem, but not quit sure what was tha.
when go online around 10mins something , it will show
Remote Procedure Call(RPC) system accident,
n the pc restart again and again.
then need to format the pc, n reinstall the program.
So anyone got the same problem??

yup I just found out wingwing's computor has this worm yesterday~~~
and I think I fixed it (not sure)
coz Norton can't fix it
so I press ctrl alt del to stop this file (coz it's running in the backgrond)
then goto system folder to delete it
also I took away it from the startup in msconfig
hope it can be fix this way
if not I have to d/l the patch~~

若果已不幸被到受感染, 請按照下列步驟修復:

- Microsoft
- Windows
- CurrentVersion
- Run, 刪除"windows auto update"="msblast.exe"機碼
5) 最後, 安裝Microsoft 提供的系統修補程式

My computer got the same problem this morning when I turn it on. At first couldn't figure out what was wrong. Later I found out it was a program running in the background. I did try to stop the program by using CTRL+ALT+DEL, but it didn't work for me, the program kept running. Sometimes the computer would shut down before you can finish downloading the patch from MicroSoft. I found that if I use Netscape to go to MicroSoft's website to download the patch, the computer won't shut down. I don't know if this works for you since it looks like the worm affects different people differently.

what do u mean "the program running in the background" ah?

i didn't get the virus but i installed the patch anyway
