It's a previous official pic. This one just too ugly. Part of RX-8 and and part of  Covette. I think Mazda will show a more attractive RX-7 to us during the Tokyo Auto Show (Oct)

oh~~~ the new Renesis engine is more reliable than the Rotary since it is N/A, no turbo. First, as I notice before, the turbo charge on the Rotary got to fix most time. I think taking it out is a good idea to make it more reliable. Second, Mazda move the valve from the side of the engine to closer of engine center. Also, Mazda engineers reinforce the rotary which is another easy damage part of the engine. Final, engineers redesigned the angle of the chamber to make the rotary moves and compress more smooth. Those improvements make the Renesis more reliable for sure! It just won the prize of "Engine of the year".

hahaha, it's just a prototype ja, the production model will come out in 2006 or 2007.
There is still planty of rooms for engineers to imporve its exterior. don't worry. We might suprise on Oct cus all of 4 major Japanese car manufactures will show their flagship model on that time.
Honda: new NSX and a fuel cell super car
     
Toyota(Lexus): Super Sport

Mazda: RX-7 (maybe with Eunos 800 supercharger)

Nissan: GT-R (This time it may have 480 hps)
